How do I use this website?
Browse our catalog online: Click on "courses" on the left menu bar. Browse by content area or search by title, instructor, or dates. Full course descriptions, teacher biographies, directions, and other pertinent course information can be accessed by clicking on the dark green links.
Request a printed catalog: Click on the image at the top left corner to provide us with your mailing address and we will send you a catalog.
Sign in: If you are new to our site, you will need to create a new student profile. Creating a profile will provide you with your own personal, password-protected account. Having an account will allow you to register online and track your course selections. Click on "sign in" on the menu bar to the left and follow the prompts. Items in blue are required information. Please choose a login that you will remember easily. The demographic information is optional, and is used by the school strictly for planning and statistical purposes. You will receive a copy of your profile via email. After you have created a student profile (and on subsequent visits when you sign in), you will notice additional menu options that will allow you to edit your profile, check your current registrations, and view your transactions.
Register Online: Browse through the catalog and click the boxes next to the classes that you are interested in, then add them to your shopping cart. Follow the directions to complete your registration at our secured site with your credit card. Please remember to read and agree to the refund policy on the Shopping Cart page.You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.

Where do classes meet?
Most Hutchinson classes meet at the Ridgewater Business Development Center, however there are some that meet on the Main Campus. Various locations are used for courses on Willmar's Ridgewater Campus. Some classes meet at offsite locations. Class location and directions will be noted in the course description and on your confirmation.
Who is eligible to take classes through Continuing Education?
Classes are open to people of high-school age and older, unless otherwise indicated in the course description.
Do I need to apply to Ridgewater College to take Continuing Education classes?
No, it is not necessary to complete an admissions application to enroll in non-credit classes.
How do I access my Ed2Go class?
You will need to sign in or create a student profile first (the same as if you were registering for another Continuing Education class). New classes begin the third Wednesday of each month. To start your training, sign in and click on "current registrations." Locate your class and click on the active "Go To Class" link. This link will not be active until the class begins.
How do I get in touch with an Ed2Go instructor before or after the class?
When can I sign up?
Registration opens as soon as the course appears on our website. Courses will remain open until the first day of the class as long as space remains available. Many classes fill quickly, so we encourage you to register early.
What are your policies for payment of fees?
Full tuition must accompany your registration. Payment may be made by Discover, Mastercard, or Visa. If your registration will be paid by your employer or Dislocated Worker Organization, please contact us at (800) 722-1151 extension 8592 for Hutchinson or 5213 for Willmar, or by email customized.training@ridgewater.edu.
How do I register?
You can register for Ridgewater Continuing Education classes by clicking on the "sign in" link at left. Then click on the "courses" link to browse through our catalog. When you find classes that you want to take, add them to your shopping cart and then complete your order via our secure server. How will I know if I get into a class?
If you register yourself online, you will be able to see whether there is still space available in a class. Once you complete the necessary payment information, you are registered. You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours. If you register by mail or fax, you will receive written confirmation after we process your registration. Please know that registering by mail or fax does not guarantee a seat in the class.
Can a class be cancelled?
Ridgewater College reserves the right to cancel a class up to one day prior to the course start date. If a class is cancelled within said time period, a full refund will be issued.
What if I cannot attend a course as planned?
If you are unable to attend a class for which you are registered for, you must contact us within the time frame referenced in your class refund policy. A refund will be issued with proper notification. Please check with the Registration Office for complete details.
What happens in case of inclement weather?
Announcements regarding closings are broadcast on the following:
- Local radio stations: Q102 102.5 FM, KDJS 1590 AM, K95.3 FM, The River 97.3 FM, KARP/KDUZ 1260 AM or 106.9 FM, KWLM 1340 AM, Big Country K100 FM, WCCO 830 AM
- Television Stations: WCCO (Channel 4), KSTP (Channel 5), KSAX (Channel 45 Alexandria/Redwood Falls)
